PROJECT INCEPTION

Philosophy

  • Ensure the fundamental requirements of the brief are reflected in the design, through an ongoing dialog with the client.

Methodology

  • Obtain detailed site information.
  • Become fully informed of regulatory and statutory requirements likely to impact on the project.
  • Prepare initial responses to the brief and engage in a dialog to refine and enhance the concepts.
  • Seek and obtain all client approvals.
  • Identify the need for other consultants, engage or provide advice on their engagement.
  • Initiate introductory meetings with other consultants to disseminate information and increase the knowledge base of the project group.
  • Prepare preliminary budgets against the refined concept.
  • Prepare a master programme and obtain agreement and commitment from all parties to adhere to it.

Outcome

  • An agreed sketch design.
  • A budget.
  • A delivery programme.
